Home cooked 

 Food at Down Lodge is cooked in house by our very own chefs Ralf, Leo and Caroline. With a wealth of past restaurant experience, chefs have created carefully designed menus to cater for all our residents' tastes. Menus are varied each week. Residents can choose replacements for any of the dishes. Down Lodge caters for residents with allergies or who require special diets. Please ask for more details. View our  delicious weekly menus. 

Weekly Menus

Fresh Caesar
Romaine lettuce, homemade croutons and grated parmesan
Seasonal Greens
Roquette, cucumbers, sunflower seeds and balsamic dressing
Italian Minestrone

Potatoes, zucchini, squash, celery, carrots and fresh pasta

Thai Soup
Delicate broth with shrimp, noodles, spices and an egg

Lean boneless sirloin steak, marbled for robust taste and texture

Thin crust pizza topped with zucchini, onions and tomatoes

Cappuccino
Fine Italian espresso served with hot milk and a touch of whipped cream
Americano
Fresh espresso topped with hot water, served with hot milk on the side
Green or Black Tea
Smooth and flavourful green, black or spiced tea, served with honey on the side

Fresh espresso or brewed tea, lightly sweetened and served over ice

Tiramisu

Dark chocolate, espresso dipped ladyfingers, whipped cream and caramel
